Our guides and trip supervisors were born and raised in this region. We know its roads, its quiet places and the people who make it special. For 2 August 2027 we are creating an experience entirely around the eclipse with included pickup from Downtown Cairo, Giza and nearby Giza hotels, or Zamalek in every program and one local team looking after you from arrival to your final night.

Why the White Desert
A rare moment deserves more than a crowded viewing site.
The eclipse camp and open-sky viewing area will be inside the path of totality, in the zone between the White Desert and the Black Desert. The goal is simple. A wide open horizon, room to breathe and a setting designed around the sky.
This will not be a regular desert tour with an eclipse added to it. The camp, transfers, viewing area and services are being planned specifically for 2 August 2027.

For 2 August 2027 we are creating more than a place to sleep. This will be a fully serviced eclipse base with air conditioning throughout the camp including the sleeping tents seating lounges and dedicated eclipse viewing areas.
The photographs show real moments from camps we have hosted in the White Desert. The 2027 camp will be a larger purpose-built setup created around the eclipse for a maximum of 40 guests.

A rare journey should still feel simple. Here are clear answers about the camp transport comfort safety and everything waiting for you in the White Desert.
Where will the 2027 eclipse camp be located?
The camp will be created in the White Desert and Bahariya region. The confirmed White Desert site is positioned inside the path of totality and is selected for an open horizon reliable access guest comfort and its verified position inside the path of totality.
Will the camp experience totality?
Yes. The eclipse camp and open-sky viewing area will be inside the path of totality, in the zone between the White Desert and the Black Desert. The exact operational point and coordinates will be shared later with confirmed guests after final terrain, access, safety, horizon and viewing-condition checks. These checks are designed to choose the best practical terrain, horizon and viewing conditions. The selected point will be astronomically verified to provide at least 6 minutes of totality. Exact operational GPS coordinates and local viewing circumstances will be published after final field verification.
How will we travel from Cairo to the camp?
Pickup is included from Downtown Cairo, Giza and nearby Giza hotels, or Zamalek. Other areas are available for an additional charge based on the exact location. The journey to Bahariya takes around four hours. Cars will normally carry three guests and minibuses up to ten. A private vehicle can be requested for an additional cost.
Is the entire eclipse camp air-conditioned?
Yes. Climate-controlled comfort is being planned throughout the camp including sleeping tents seating lounges dining spaces and the dedicated eclipse viewing areas.
What sleeping arrangements are available?
Solo twin and triple sleeping arrangements will be available according to the number of guests traveling together and the package selected.
Are toilets and showers available?
Dedicated toilet facilities will be available at the camp. Shower facilities will be available at the Bahariya hotel before or after the desert stay according to the itinerary.
Will Wi-Fi and charging be available?
Wi-Fi coverage and distributed charging points will be arranged to serve the entire camp including the main guest and seating areas.
What food and drinks will be provided?
Meals will be freshly prepared at the camp with vegetarian options available. Drinking water and cold drinks will be available throughout the day.
Will eclipse viewing glasses be included?
Special-purpose eclipse viewing glasses will be available to purchase separately and are not included in the package price. Regular sunglasses are not suitable for looking directly at the Sun. Children must always use solar viewers with adult supervision.
Will medical support be available?
Yes. A medical professional and first-aid support will be present at the eclipse camp throughout the main event.
Is there a minimum age for children?
There is no fixed minimum age, and all children must travel with an adult. Children aged 0–6 travel free of charge; children aged 7–15 are charged 50% of the adult package price. Every child counts toward availability.
How many guests will the camp accept?
The maximum planned capacity is 40 guests. This allows our local team to manage transport accommodation meals facilities and the eclipse experience with personal attention.
Can I extend my stay after the eclipse?
Yes. You can add one or two nights to explore the White Desert Black Desert Bahariya lake Crystal Mountain El Heiz and English Mountain. Extension details will be shown inside the individual tour packages.
How early should I reserve?
Reserving early is recommended because the camp is limited to 40 guests and accommodation transport and private vehicle options will depend on availability.
Safe solar viewing matters
Proper solar viewers must be used during the partial phases before and after totality. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe for viewing the Sun.
