Solar Eclipse Tours welcomes families and aims to provide safe, clearly organized travel experiences for children and their accompanying adults.
This policy explains the responsibilities of parents, guardians, and responsible adults when booking and participating in our tours. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Booking & Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy.
This Child Policy applies to every traveler under 18 years of age who participates in a tour, transfer, accommodation arrangement, eclipse-viewing experience, camp stay, excursion, or activity booked through Solar Eclipse Tours.
Supplier age categories used for pricing, bedding, tickets, transportation, or activities may differ. The category and price that apply to a child will be stated in the written quotation or booking confirmation.
Children must travel with a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult who has authority to supervise them and make necessary decisions on their behalf.
Solar Eclipse Tours does not accept unaccompanied minors unless a separate written agreement has been approved in advance.
The accompanying adult must supervise the child throughout transportation, accommodation, meals, activities, camp stays, and the eclipse-viewing event.
The adult making the booking must provide each child’s correct name, date of birth, nationality, and age on the first day of the tour.
Age information must match the child’s travel documents.
If an incorrect age results in a higher hotel, transport, ticket, permit, meal, or activity charge, the responsible adult must pay the difference before or during the tour.
Child prices are not automatically fixed as a single percentage across all packages.

Room occupancy limits, child-sharing arrangements, extra beds, sofa beds, and baby cots are controlled by the accommodation provider and are subject to availability.
A request for a cot, extra bed, connecting room, family room, or specific sleeping arrangement is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Some remote camps or desert accommodation may not provide cots, child beds, private bathrooms, air conditioning, or the same facilities available in city hotels.
The parent or responsible adult must decide whether the confirmed accommodation is suitable for the child.
The parent or responsible adult is solely responsible for ensuring that the child has all required travel documents.

Requirements should be confirmed independently with the relevant embassy, consulate, airline, and government authorities before travel.
The responsible adult must tell Solar Eclipse Tours before booking about any medical condition, allergy, disability, dietary requirement, mobility restriction, sensory need, or other circumstance that may affect the child’s participation.
Medication must remain under the control of the parent or responsible adult unless another written arrangement has been agreed.
The responsible adult must carry sufficient medication, prescriptions, and any emergency instructions required for the full trip.
Solar Eclipse Tours will make reasonable efforts to support disclosed requirements but cannot guarantee that every remote location, camp, vehicle, or activity will be fully accessible.
Solar eclipse and desert tours may involve high temperatures, direct sunlight, uneven ground, long drives, early departures, crowded areas, limited medical facilities, and extended periods outdoors.
Certain activities may have age, height, weight, health, or safety restrictions imposed by the supplier.
Solar Eclipse Tours or an activity provider may refuse a child’s participation where it reasonably believes the activity is unsuitable or unsafe.
The responsible adult should review the itinerary carefully and ask about suitability before confirming the booking.
Looking directly at the Sun without appropriate protection can cause serious and permanent eye injury.
Children must be continuously supervised by their parent, guardian, or responsible adult during all eclipse-viewing periods.
Certified eclipse glasses or approved solar filters must be used during every partial phase of the eclipse. Ordinary sunglasses do not provide adequate protection.

Parents or responsible adults must request child seats, booster seats, or other special restraints before booking.
Availability, size, type, installation, and legal requirements may vary by vehicle and supplier. A child seat is not guaranteed unless it has been confirmed in writing.
The responsible adult must ensure that the child remains seated and uses the available restraint correctly throughout transportation.
Where a specific restraint is essential, the family may be advised to bring an appropriate seat that is compatible with the planned vehicle.
Parents or responsible adults must disclose allergies, intolerances, medical diets, religious dietary requirements, and other important meal needs before booking.
Solar Eclipse Tours will communicate disclosed requirements to relevant suppliers and make reasonable efforts to assist.
Because kitchens, camps, restaurants, and remote locations may handle multiple ingredients, an allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.
The responsible adult remains responsible for deciding whether any meal is safe and suitable for the child.
Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult and must not be left unattended in vehicles, camps, hotels, viewing areas, or activity locations.
The responsible adult must ensure that the child follows safety instructions and behaves respectfully toward other guests, staff, local communities, property, and the environment.
Solar Eclipse Tours may stop a child from participating in an activity where continued participation creates a serious safety risk or major disruption.
Any concern relating to a child’s safety or welfare should be reported immediately to the tour representative.
Solar Eclipse Tours will not intentionally use an identifiable child’s image in promotional marketing without permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
Parents or guardians who do not want a child to appear in group photographs or videos should inform the tour representative before the activity begins.
This does not prevent photography or recording required for safety, security, incident reporting, legal compliance, or another legitimate operational reason.
A child’s place is subject to the same Booking & Cancellation Policy that applies to the confirmed reservation.
No refund will be provided for a child who arrives late, does not attend, leaves early, or does not use an included bed, seat, meal, ticket, activity, or other service after the tour has started.
If a child cannot participate because a required passport, visa, consent document, health document, or other travel requirement is missing, the applicable cancellation terms will continue to apply.
Personal information about a child should be provided by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult and only where necessary for the booking or the child’s safety.
Information may be shared with hotels, camps, transport providers, guides, activity operators, authorities, or medical services where reasonably necessary to arrange the service, comply with requirements, or protect the child.
Child information will be handled according to the Solar Eclipse Tours Privacy Policy.
The accompanying adult must provide accurate emergency contact details and remain reachable throughout the tour.
In an emergency, Solar Eclipse Tours may contact local medical services, authorities, suppliers, the child’s emergency contact, or the travel insurer where reasonably necessary.
Any emergency medical, transport, accommodation, or related cost not included in the package may be payable by the responsible adult or their insurer.
