Journey into the Western Desert
Pickup from the included Cairo or Giza zones in the morning. The drive to Bahariya Oasis normally takes approximately 4–5 hours depending on pickup point, traffic, checkpoints and comfort stops. After lunch in Bahariya, begin the 4x4 desert safari. As the afternoon ends, continue to the fully air-conditioned eclipse camp in the confirmed zone between the White Desert and the Black Desert, inside the path of totality. The exact operational point and coordinates will be shared later with confirmed guests after final terrain, access, safety, horizon and viewing-condition checks. These checks are designed to choose the best practical terrain, horizon and viewing conditions. The selected point will be astronomically verified to provide at least 6 minutes of totality.

Total Solar Eclipse Experience
Wake up at the eclipse camp and enjoy breakfast before preparing for totality. The fully air-conditioned tented camp is arranged with a direct sky-view layout, allowing guests to remain within the camp environment while moving easily to prepared positions with clear visibility of the sky. After totality and photography time, continue through the White Desert’s iconic formations before returning to Bahariya Oasis for lunch and travelling back to Cairo or Giza. Arrival is expected in the evening.

4x4 safari with a local driver
Locally operated 4x4 vehicles are used for the desert safari and normally carry 3–4 guests per vehicle. Private 4x4 arrangements can be requested as a paid upgrade.
Why the Western Desert
Open horizons and the stillness to feel every second
Egypt’s Western Desert offers exceptionally open horizons. August is normally dry in this arid region, while the absence of dense urban development creates a strong environment for eclipse observation. Weather can never be guaranteed. The final operating site will be chosen within the path of totality and confirmed after access, permit, safety and field checks.

The 2027 eclipse camp is planned as a purpose-built, fully air-conditioned tented event base. Large climate-controlled sleeping, seating, dining and shaded viewing tents will be arranged around a direct sky-view layout, so guests can stay comfortable in the August desert while still maintaining clear visibility of the sky from within the camp environment.
Dedicated cooling serves sleeping, seating, dining and shaded eclipse-viewing tents.
The camp is arranged so guests can move easily between cooled tented areas and prepared sky-facing viewing positions.
Meals, mineral water and practical refreshments are provided according to the itinerary, with dietary requests handled in advance.
Wi-Fi, electricity, charging points and guest toilets are available at the camp, together with first-aid support and local event assistance.

Safe eclipse viewing matters
Approved eclipse glasses or another recognised safe solar viewer must be used during the partial phases before and after totality. Regular sunglasses are not safe. Children must be supervised when using solar viewers. Read the NASA eclipse safety guidance before the trip.

How can the camp be fully air-conditioned and still allow direct eclipse viewing?
The camp combines climate-controlled tented areas with a direct sky-view layout. Guests remain within the same camp environment and can move easily between the cooled tents and prepared sky-facing positions with clear visibility during the eclipse.
Are Wi-Fi, electricity and toilets available at the eclipse camp?
Yes. Wi-Fi, electricity, charging points and guest toilets are available at the eclipse camp as part of the event facilities.
How many guests travel in each vehicle?
Modern air-conditioned HiAce vehicles carry up to 10 guests for the road transfer. Desert 4x4 vehicles normally carry 3–4 guests. Passenger cars may be used for smaller transfers, and private transport can be requested for an additional cost.
How many people will be at the eclipse camp?

What is the price for children?
Children aged 0–6 travel free. Children aged 7–15 pay 50% of the adult package price, which is $900 for this package. Every child requires an available seat and must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
How do I reserve and how much is the deposit?
Reservations are open. The deposit is $500 for each adult and $250 for each child aged 7–15. Children aged 0–6 require no deposit. Every paid deposit is credited toward the final package price.
Can I pay the deposit with PayPal?
PayPal can be used where it is presented as an available payment method during checkout.
Are solar eclipse glasses included?
Solar eclipse viewing glasses are not included in the standard package price and are planned to be available separately. Approved solar viewers must be used during the partial phases.
Can vegetarian meals be arranged?
Yes. Vegetarian meals can be arranged. Please provide dietary requirements when booking so the camp team can prepare in advance.
